The competition is open to;

•  Individuals or teams of individuals residing in Australia;
•  Individuals or teams of individuals registered with an Australian university, TAFE or secondary school;
•  Individuals or teams of individuals employed at government research organisations in Australia (where the majority of  the research conducted on the project is conducted in Australia);
•  Small-to-medium enterprises registered and operating in Australia, which satisfy all of the following criteria;

•  Have not won or been ‘placed’ in a competition of a similar nature for the project.
•  Have a project that is an idea, concept or prototype (which includes projects that have been commercially launched for less than 18 months).
•  Have generated not more than $200,000 in sales (amounts of any existing sales of the product / service need to be declared).
•  Received less than $100,000 of venture capital or non-venture capital sources (e.g. government grants) may enter.
•  Own or have the right to use the intellectual property developed (or must not be in violation of any intellectual property rights).
•  Each member of the team must sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement provided.

ICT Geelong has the right to disqualify any entrant at any time based on non-compliance with this criteria. Any team or organisation entering the competition must nominate a Team Leader. The designated leader of the team must meet the abovementioned criteria.

Any person may be involved in up to 2 submissions.

To qualify for the prizes, the individual, team leader or approved company representative must have made a submission by 5pm Friday 17th August 2012

Any finalist must pay their own way to the Preliminary Investment Pitching Sessions (8th and 10th of October 2012) and the Technology Entrepreneurship Forum (1st November 2012).
