How to Make a Submission?

STAGE 1 – Complete the Investment Submission Template

All entrants will be required to complete the Investment Submission Template and send to Craig Hill from ICT Geelong (craigh@sedadvisory.com) by 5pm Thursday 2nd October.

The content of the Investment Submission Template can be no longer than 1,500 words, and must cover each of the following topics, as specified in the template;
  • • A 50 word Project Summary
  • • Project Description
  • • Market Opportunity
  • • Target Market
  • • Business Model
  • • Intellectual Property / Proprietary Knowledge
  • • Financials
  • • Project Team Capabilities
 
To make a submission:

1. Download the Pitching Pack below which includes all of the details of the competition
2. Complete the following documents
  • The Investment Submission Template
  • IT Invention Test Non Disclosure Agreement 2014 
  • ASTN Non Disclosure Agreement 2014 (if you are also applying for ASTN Pitching competition)
3. Mail it back as an attachment to craigh@sedadvisory.com

This Pitching pack includes:

A Judging Panel of technology, investment and commercialisation experts will assess the submissions by Monday 6th October. A total of 10 entrants will be shortlisted for the next stage. All entrants will be notified on that day as to whether they have progressed to the next stage.

STAGE 2 – Attend the Investment Pitching Education
The top 10 submissions will be invited to attend the Investment Pitching Education on Friday 10th October 2014 in Geelong. This ½ day session will help the entrants prepare for their 8 minute investment pitches Thursday 16th October 2014.

STAGE 3 – Presentation to the Judging Panel at theInvestment Pitching Sessions
The top 10 submissions will be required to conduct a presentation of no more than 8 minutes as an Investment Pitch to The $50,000 I.T. Invention Test Judging Panel on the Thursday 16th October 2014 in Geelong.After each presentation 7 minutes will be allocated to Questions and Feedback from the Judging Panel.
The Investment Pitches may include;
  • • Powerpoint slides.
  • • Video (ie to demonstrate the idea / concept).
  • • Physical prototype demonstrations (if already developed and available).
The presentation must be led by the nominated Team Leader or another nominated person approved by the Competition organisers. Presentations can involve other members of the project team. Any information that the entrant considers to be highly confidential or proprietary does not need to be disclosed during the presentation.



Invited entrants must pay their own way to present to the Investment Pitching Session.
