How to Make a Submission?

All entrants will be required to complete the Investment Submission Template and send to Aamir Qutub from ICT Geelong ( by 5pm 7th October.

The content of the Investment Submission Template can be no longer than 1,500 words, and must cover each of the following topics, as specified in the template;

  • • A 50 word Project Summary
  • • Project Description
  • • Market Opportunity
  • • Target Market
  • • Business Model
  • • Intellectual Property / Proprietary Knowledge
  • • Financials
  • • Project Team Capabilities
Video presentations are available on The IT Invention Test website that provide details of the competition as well as tips for entrants on preparing a submission. The Investment Submission Template can be downloaded from The IT Invention Test website ( All Submissions made must be made on the Investment Submission Template provided. All submission information must be presented in Century Gothic 11 font with 1.5 line spacing in Microsoft Word. No late submissions will be accepted, and incomplete submissions will be disqualified.

Entrants may attach the following if it assists in explaining the Project (optional);
  • Up to two (2) pages of pictures, diagrams and / or flow charts - no product marketing brochures.
  • A video of no more than three (3) minutes.
All submissions (including the completed Investment Submission Template and a signed copy of the Non-Disclosure Agreement) need to be emailed to Aamir Qutub (

Competition participants are not permitted to contact the Judging Panel and judges are not to contact any competition participants during the course of the Competition unless specified. Any questions or clarifications must be emailed directly and responses will be posted in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Competition website.

STAGE 2 –  Presentation to the Judging Panel at the Investment Pitching Sessions

The top 10 submissions will be required to conduct a presentation of no more than 8 minutes as an Investment Pitch to The $50,000 I.T. Invention Test Judging Panel on 22nd October 2015 in Geelong. After each presentation, 7 minutes will be allocated to Questions and Feedback from the Judging Panel.

The Investment Pitches may include;
  • Powerpoint slides.
  • Video (ie to demonstrate the idea / concept).
  • Physical prototype demonstrations (if already developed and available).

The presentation must be led by the nominated Team Leader or another nominated person approved by the Competition organisers. Presentations can involve other members of the project team. Any information that the entrant considers to be highly confidential or proprietary does not need to be disclosed during the presentation.

Invited entrants must pay their own way to present to the Investment Pitching Session.
